Deana Spetter Deana Dale Spetter, 67, Berryton KS, passed away unexpectedly at Stormont-Vail, Monday, June 1, 2015. Deana was born February 28, 1948, in Topeka KS, the daughter of Dean and Maxine Vowels Horton. She was a 1966 graduate of Highland Park High School and attended Clarks School of Business. On October 18, 1969, Deana and Jim Spetter were united in marriage and enjoyed over 45 years together. They enjoyed their time together traveling to all 50 states, kayaking, bicycling, hiking, tennis and K-State sports. Deana retired two years ago from USD 450 Shawnee Heights Special Education Department as a paraprofessional. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed. Grateful for sharing Deana s life are her husband, Jim; son, Troy Spetter, Overland Park; parents, Dean and Maxine Horton, Topeka; and two brothers, Dean Horton (Linda), Raleigh NC and Larry Horton (Sharon) Sedalia MO. Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
