From the obituary in the Capital-Journal from January 23 to January 24, 2009

Sharon Louise Jackson was born October 5, 1948 in Topeka.  She was the second child to the late Rev. Louis and Emma Lou Todd Kingcannon.  Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by two sisters Carol Hawthorne and Annie Lockhart.  Mrs. Jackson graduated from Highland Park High School and Clarks school of business.  After several years of employment at Payless Shoes Sharon became self-employed as a childcare provider for many years.  Asa child she attended New Jerusalem Baptist Church and later became a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.  She united in marriage to minister Donald Jackson June 16, 1990; he survives.  Additional survivors include six daughters, Sharon Mack, Tamara Webster, Angela Barksdale, and Anita Ray, all of Topeka, Marven Barksdale, and Debra Randolph, both of East Orange, NJ; a stepsister Mary Louise Jones, Lawrence, KS; one son, Danny Kingcannon of Topeka; two sisters Emma Cushinberry, Topeka and Mary Durant Kansas City, KS, four brothers David Kingcannon, Joseph Kingcannon, Emmanuel Kingcannon, all of Topeka, and Cornelius Kingcannon, Kansas City, MO; 21 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
