Yes, Shirley was a real sweet girl.  Plus, a BIG help planning our class reunions.  I sure missed her for our 40th and will again this one.  I was so very proud to have known Shirley and to have had her for a FRIEND.  Rest in peace, my fellow classmate. Linda

Shirley and I talked on the phone frequently during her illnesses.  She was forthright about her condition and then went on seemingly undaunted by that condition.   She was so proud of her son and enjoyed being married to her husband.  I always thought I could not be so brave.  All through school and life she was so brave, smart, resourceful,  industrious, and (I always thought) so cute!
