Steven Edward "Steve" Simpson (August 30, 1948 in St. Joseph, Missouri – November 2, 1989 in Omaha, Nebraska) was a Major League Baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres in 1972.
Simpson died of a heart attack at age 41 in 1989

WOW! Someone I went to school with became a major league pitcher! I remember Steve. He had a calm sense of humor. He joined some clubs I was in and was in student government. I am so sorry he passed at such a young age. We all have fond memories of him. Thank you Dwayne!
