Leslie Tennessee Inez (Smith) Price Leslie Tennessee Inez (Smith) Price, age 47, of Denison, Kansas, died Wednesday March 23, 2011. She was born October 27, 1963 in Topeka, the daughter of Robert L. and Mary M. (Foster) Smith. Leslie attended Heavy Equipment Operator School in Beloit, Kansas; she was the first female graduate. After graduation she went to Abilene, Texas to work as a heavy equipment operator. She then moved back to Kansas and began employment with Clarkson Construction Company in Kansas City and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #101 for 14 years. She married James P. Price on February 20, 1993. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her mother Mary M. Smith of Topeka, daughter Cheyenne Price and son Colt Price, of Denison, sisters, Kimberly Henderson, and Tracy Frost, of Topeka, 2 nieces, 7 nephews 2 great-nephews and 1 great-niece. Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2011 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home 1035 N. Kansas Ave, Topeka, Kansas, with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00.
