Betty Collins (Vickrey) passed away on August 10, 2001 at the age of 54 after losing her battle with Leukemia. In 1965 Betty married William (Bill) Vickrey, HPHS class of ’63, and they lived in Topeka, KS; Grand Prairie, KS; Independence, MO; Pittsburgh, PA; St. Louis, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ; San Antonio, TX; and Dallas, TX as Bill advanced in his insurance career. Betty and Bill divorced in 1988. Betty is survived by a son Mark Vickrey and wife Raylene and grandson Dylan, and by a daughter Michelle Grote and her husband Tom and grandson Gavin. Betty is interred at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Memorial Park in Allen, TX, a suburb of Dallas.
