
Thomas P. Cadieux, 70, died Wednesday September 6, 2017 at his home in Bull Valley.
He was born in Jamestown, North Dakota on July 21, 1947 to Donald and Margaret (nee Gurski) Cadieux. He married Mary Sandner on November 11, 1972 in Dundee, Illinois.
For 10 years he worked for the Quaker Oats Company, first at the Barrington location in research and development, then in Quality Control at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. After leaving the company he opened Cadieux's Bakery in downtown Crystal Lake and operated the bakery for 27 years. After closing the shop, he worked as a driver for GNT Limousine Service for 7 years. In his retirement, he became a Beekeeper and was a member of NIBA (Northern Illinois Beekeepers Association). He also began raising chickens.
Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. His family meant everything to him. As a loving husband and father he always put his family first. He was loved and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Cadieux; his mother, Margaret Cadieux; two sons, Jeffrey (Jamie) Cadieux and Michael Cadieux; two grandchildren, Tyler and Marissa Cadieux; brother, Kevin (Jill) Cadieux; four sisters, Mary Fay (Chuck) Patrick, Elizabeth Schroeder, Jeanne (David) James, Carol (Greg) Schuster; two brothers in law, Steve and Rich Sandner; two sisters in law, Audrey (Larry) Lemmon, Janet (Greg) Ksionda.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; brother in law, Ken Schroeder; father and mother in law, Walter and Erika (nee Birndorf) Sandner.
