DENNIS MICHAEL "MIKE" SUMNERS

JUNE 27, 1962 - AUGUST 15, 2013

Born in Hawthorne, California to Richard and Lois Sumners. Mike was a long time Torrance resident and graduated from Torrance High School in 1980. Mike was an avid fisherman and RC car enthusiast. He was involved in social organizations and was always willing to lend a hand and a truck to help others. Mike was a friend to everyone and was known for his sense of humor, listening ear, and ready smile. He was a beloved uncle, a treasured brother, and a great friend. Mike will be missed by all. He is survived by his brother, Mitch (and Lynell); sister, Terri (and Ron) and his nephew and niece, Sam and Kate. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 4:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 22721 Main Street, Carson, CA 90745.
