Christine Lach (Marhefsky)

Christine Marhefki, 49, of 377 Brightwood Ave., Torrington, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, as result of a motor-vehicle accident. Marhefki was pronounced dead at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Sunday afternoon following a head-on collision on East Main Street. Police said Marhefki's 2000 Hyundai Elantra crossed the yellow line into the opposite lane and struck a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer She was the wife of Mark Marhefki.
Born in Torrington on Aug. 13, 1957, daughter of Andrew and Rita Dumont Lach, she was a graduate of Torrington High School. She was employed as a waitress at Christy's Restaurant.
In addition to her husband and parents, she leaves sons Christopher and Robert Goulet, and step-children Kathryn and Benjamin Marhefki.   "Chrissy was our best friend and she meant everything to us," said Andrea Benedict, her sister. "She was the most easygoing person we knew. She was the strong one, and she never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Chrissy always saw the good in everyone."
