Terry was a lifelong friend. As many of you know Terry had a horrible accident a few years after graduating. While serving with the Navy he broke his neck while waterskiing. The accident left him a quadriplegic. Terry and his wife (Linda Andrews- 65) refused to let this define the rest of his life. They raised a family. Terry completed his degree in Social Work. Worked for a time helping veterans and also worked with the youth group at Faith United Methodist Church. He maintained an interest in sports, specifically at Trenton High School.
what a guy! I am proud to have been able to call him my friend. To say the least, he will be missed! Thanks, Greg Woolcott
I did not know of Terry's accident so many years ago. What a testament to the person he was and to the power of the human spirit. Thank you Gregg for your comment. A prayer to the family. Brian Bradley
That was nice of Greg to write so proudly about his friend Terry Novak. I had to get my Yearbook to see Terry's face. I do remember him. Of course I didn't know the life he led but in all respect my condolences to his family & Greg.
Greg Woolcott and I were next door neighbors and Linda Andrews (Terry Novak's wife) lived down the street from us. Like Greg, I knew about the accident and admired Linda and Terry because of the exemplary life they led inspite of such difficult circumstances. Linda's parents were kind, wonderful people who came to visit my parents who retired in New Mexico. I happened to be there for a visit and heard Linda's parents speak highly about Linda and Terry's commitment to each other and to family. Obviously, it followed them into later life.
