At the reunion activities, I realized that many of you had not seen the wonderful obituary which had been published in the Santa Cruz newspaper after Brian died.  So I am attempting to insert a link below so that as many people as possible get a chance to read it.

Brian and I were on the swimming team and the tennis team together, but my fondest memories of him were all the time we spent together solving every one of Doyle McIntosh's extra credit problems in our junior math class.

Brian Sullivan
July 23, 1948 - Feb. 4, 2014

Brian grew up in Trenton, Michigan, where he spent his days swimming on the swim team, reading encyclopedias, working at the Ford factory, and soaking up boatloads of information that he would spend his life imparting to others.

Larry, how thoughtful of you to post Brian's obituary.    It spoke well of his character, and it sounded like he had a full life with many supportive community contributions.     High School seems so long ago now, and as I read about classmates lost, I am reminded how fortunate I am to have good health.   Thank you for highlighting this.   I'm sorry I won't be able to attend the reunion and visit with you.

I was saddened to hear of Brian's passing and read the obituary linked by Larry, I would like to celebrate Brian's quirky personality and add that my fondest memory was driving down to the A & W in the Kowznowski (Bri's beater of a car which had more root beer glasses and food trays in the backseat than the store had) as well as always marveling at the porpoise-like fluidity of his butterfly stroke, what a wonderful guy....
