Dear Papa, It has been so long that we have heard your voice or been able to hug you. We feel you with us everyday and pray at night that we will meet you in our dreams like you promised. Thank you for being with us so much after your diagnosis and staying with Mommy. We loved seeing you together laughing and loving us. You make us stronger each day, but some days we do cry for you but know that you are still here with us. We always celebrate your birthday and yours and mommy's wedding anniversary on May 15. We hope you celebrate ours too. Know that we care, love and respect your life span that you had with us. Even though you will not be here for our birthdays, holidays and special occasions we will still remember you in our hearts and memories. And remember that we will love you always and thank you for the gift of us.
XO
Alana and Marisa

Thank you for the years we had together and the good times we had. Most importantly, thank you for the girls. It was not always easy with us, but in the end you kept your promise to me and to the girls. I will love you forever, especially for the time you took with me during the heartbreaking diagnosis, telling the girls you were terminal, never leaving me to handle it alone (even if it was over the phone), and the making of memories that are your words that I can give to the girls at all their special milestones. I still think to pick up the phone when something special happens with the girls. I am still struggling at times with dealing with your death as the girls go thru it. When the dog barks at the door and when we answer and no ones there we know you are here with us. Be free, golf as much as you can and make sure you have a shot and a beer with Grandpa P. Keep your promise and stay with us forever during our journey on earth until we meet again.
XO
Valerie

In memory of a loving brother, friend, and a wonderful father.
Jim had a passion for life, he loved his sports, playing or watching them. He had two daughters whom he loved so much. The times they were able to spend together meant the world to him. He loved to see the joy in there faces when they were swimming, or riding ATV's or just being with him. He was wonderful with his girls.
Jim's life was cut way to short, he suffered from lung cancer. He did his best to not let the horrible dieses get him down. He was a strong person who never gave up, he fought up to the end. He remained a fun loving guy, doing his best to joke about losing his hair, or whatever was thrown at him. He never wanted to be treated as a "sick" person. Living in California and being surrounded by family all the time was a great joy for him. He loved picking on my girls, and giving them a hard time, that is what he was best at. He will always be remembered as "Uncle Bum".
I miss my brother, my friend, my buddy.

I am so sorry to have just heard about the loss of Jim.My heart goes out to all that knew him. Jim was a great guy and after 25 years of not hearing about or seeing him, I remembered who he was right away. That should tell everyone the kind of person Jim was!
