Vincent E. Powers
Powers, Vincent E. TROY Vincent E. Powers Jr., 74 of Troy, died at his home on October 23, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Born in Albany and lived in the Capital Region for many years, Vincent worked for the Troy School District for many years before retiring. He was also a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy. Predeceased by his parents Vincent E. Sr., and Edith I. (Strobel) Powers; a son, Vincent M. Powers; brothers, Kenneth and Richard Powers. He is survived by his wife, Linda A. Powers; two daughters, Debra I. Powers, Cathy M. (Scott) Secor; son Mark E. Powers; stepdaughter, Jessica A. Crogan; a sister, Elizabeth Zepf. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and was a long time friend of Bill W. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Thursday morning 10:30 from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer, and 11 o'clock at Sacred Heart Church, Pawling Avenue, Troy, where the Mass will be celebrated. Friends are invited to his calling hours 9-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy, N.Y.
