Hannan, Edward J., Phoenix, AZ Ariz.

Edward J. Hannan of Phoenix, passed away November 29, 2011 at age 72. He was the son of the late Edward C. and Henrica O'Bryan Hannan. He was raised in Troy and upon graduating from Troy High School enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Wurzburg, Germany. He has lived in Phoenix since 1972. He retired from Arizona Health Care Association where he was the executive director for 14 years. He enjoyed summers traveling between Lake Placid, N.Y. and Monterey, Calif. He was an avid sports fan. His passion was golf in his earlier years and later he enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Annette; his children, Kate Sorrentino of St. James, N.Y., Ellen (Kevin) Snyder of Slingerlands, N.Y. and Michael (Jennifer) Hannan of Phoenix. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael A. Hannan; and sister, Susan Hannan Dushane. He is survived by his brother, Charles B. (Mary Alice) Hannan. Survivors also include his grandchildren, Caroline and John Sorrentino, Aidan, Paige, and Brooke Snyder, Evan, Nathan and Myles Hannan; his nieces, Aimee Uccellini, Kelly Hannan, Katelynn and Aaliyah Hannan; and brother-in-law, David Dushane.
