Eddie and I were good friends in school. His Mom was our math teach in high school, one of the best teachers I have ever had. I feel fortunate to have spent time with him at the 50th reunion. Time moves too fast to catch up with old friends before they are gone.

Somehow we let time slip away and then its too late to stay connected. The 50th reunion was a great time to reconnect with Ed. I still have an old camping picture of us on the NY-MA border in trhe winter....I also recall Ed's mom as the best math teacher I ever had........RIP

I remember Eddie from School 18 and then on through high school.   Mrs. Maly was indeed a great teacher.

So many friendships were made at Schhol 18, and decades later they still bring happy memories.   RIP, Ed.

I was so sorry to learn of Ed's passing. We all liked Eddy who today might be considered a nerd but in 1960, he was just one of the smart kids who was active in school activities.  As chance might have it, his aunt lived in Mamaroneck and became one of my patients.  When she first came to my office, I thought that there could not be too many Malys in this world and sure enough, she was Eddy's father's sister.  She was involved in the NYState teachers association and knew another member quite well,  Ms Fitzpatrick our social studies teacher. Interestingly not her favorite person but that wasn't a surprise given the strong personalities of the two women.. Eddy was managing her affairs when she had to go into a nursing home.  He came down to Larchmont to see his aunt at one point and we had a nice dinner together.  Also sat next or near to him at the 50th reunion.  Good memories.  My condolences to his family.
