KEVIN B. REILLY

Kevin B. Reilly, age 65, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away Saturday May 22, 2010 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Kevin was born on May 28, 1944 to Durwood and Dorothy Reilly in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from Troy High School in Troy, NY in 1963. After a year in college he enlisted in the Navy. Kevin spent his years in the Navy on board a Battle Cruiser. During the Vietnam War he was on the USS Columbus in the Mediterranean Sea. In 1969 he married Jean Hutchinson of Portsmouth, VA. After six years of service Kevin left the Navy and went to work for Southern Bell in Norfolk, VA. In 1981 Kevin, Jean and their 4 daughters relocated to West Palm Beach, FL.

Kevin retired in 2000 after 30 years with BellSouth. He then spent 6 years working as an electrician for Electrical Express and finally retired completely in 2008. He was an avid bowler, dart player and music enthusiast. He played the guitar, piano and organ. He will be remembered for his Rubik's cube skills as well. Kevin had a very unique sense of humor and was very quick with a comment or remark that would zing or leave you thinking. He enjoyed mind challenging games such as chess, Sudoku and Sokomind. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Kathleen and infant son Durwood. Kevin leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Jean, four daughters; Charlene (Frank) Skinner, Lynda (Matthew) McDermott, Dorothy Reilly and Pamela (Chris) Ketchum, 13 grandchildren, brother, Brian Reilly, SR., numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for June 26, 2010 at 2 pm at Howard-Price Funeral Home 754 US Highway One, North Palm Beach, FL 33408 ph # 561-848-9641. On Monday June 28th Kevin will be inurned at the South Florida VA National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida with Military Honors. The family would like to extend our deep appreciation to Hospice of Palm Beach County and the Department of VA Medical Center for making Kevin's last days as comfortable as they could have been.
