Sharon M. Powell, THS '63

TROY - Sharon M. Powell, 59, of the O'Neil Apartments, died on Sunday, October 2, 2005, at her residence.  Born in Troy on January 8, 1946, she was the daughter of the late  William C. and Lucy DelCogliano Powell Sr. and the late Margaret A. House Powell.  She was educated at Albany Business College.  Miss Powell was employed by the U.S. Postal Service on New Karner Road in Albany, where she was a ZMT operator.  She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Troy.  Devoted sister of Donna M. (Thomas) Williams of Troy, Michael W. (Linda) Powell Sr. of Niskayuna, William C. (Brenda) Powell Jr. of Latham and Joseph R. (Debra) House of Troy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.  The funeral will be held on Thursday morning at 8:45 from the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 115th Street and Fourth Avenue in Lansingburgh, thence to St. Patrick's Church, 3027 Sixth Ave. in Troy, where at 9:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Interment will be held in Memory's Garden in Colonie.  Memorial contributions, may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 3027 Sixth Ave, Troy, NY 12180, in memory of Sharon M.
