Obituary of Lynne E. Osterhout

IN THE CARE OF

DiLuzio Foley And Fletcher Funeral Homes

Lynne E. (Cipperly) Osterhout, 77, of Keene, NH, passed away on April 8, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family following a period of declining health.

Lynne was born on June 27, 1946, in Troy, NY, daughter of the late Raymond and Ellen (Lance) Cipperly. She attended area schools, graduating from Troy High School with the class of 1964.

On October 1, 1966, Lynne married the love of her life, John J. Osterhout, Jr., and soon started a family. The family resided in Fairhaven and Rutland, VT, eventually returning to the Capitol District before settling in Hinsdale, NH.

When her three sons reached an appropriate age, Lynne began working outside the home at Hinsdale Greyhound Park. She worked there for many years in a supervisory role in customer service where she formed many lasting relationships with coworkers as well as customers. Her time outside of work was devoted to family, and Lynne especially enjoyed vacations on the Maine coast.

Lynne will be dearly missed by her devoted husband: John Osterhout, Jr., sons: Michael Osterhout and partner Terry Duto of Hinsdale, NH, John Osterhout and partner Jennifer DuFault of Troy, NH, and William Osterhout of Stoddard, NH. She had very special connections with her grandchildren Myles, Gemma, Abigail, and Emily. Lynne is also survived by brother Richard Cipperly of Queensbury, NY; as well as many nieces and nephews and several extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Sharon Falco.

Lynne was a special woman who brought joy to everyone she met. Her beauty and warmth touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

“Only time moves on to the next scene. Memory remains part of the heart forever.”

In keeping with Lynne’s requests, services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lynne E. Osterhout’s name are suggested to be made to a charity of one’s choice.
