Coonradt, Stephen D.
WYNANTSKILL - Stephen D. Coonradt, 76, passed away on June 2, 2023, at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Loveman Coonradt and Alma Keefe Coonradt and the loving husband to Carol (Canam) Coonradt.
Stephen served proudly in The United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was an avid golfer, NASCAR fan, enjoyed spending time with his family and hunting camp family and his Stewart's coffee club.
He worked and retired from Ryder Truck Rental in Albany as a truck mechanic and Heim's Auto Care. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 1489, V.F.W of Poestenkill, V.V.A. and Defreestville F.D.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, Carol; he is survived by his children, Donald (Emily) Coonradt and Kelly (Greg Piche) Coonradt; his granddaughter, Aubrey; his sister, Kathryn (Stewart) Clements; his sister-in-law, Kathleen Durivage (Matt Heim); Courtney (Ryan) Kendrick; and other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wynantskill.
