Robert W. Morgan passed away February 13, 2019 in his home in Jonestown, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Yoko, their children Sayako, Gregory, Erika, Andrew, Jeffery, and four grandchildren (Jocelyn, Zachary, Julia, Kimberly) with more expected.

Bob was born in Catskill, NY on March 13, 1947 and grew up in the Hudson River Valley area. He joined the Air Force, married Yoko in 1969, and had five children. After retiring from the Air Force, Bob worked at the Institute of Advanced Technology at the University of Texas until retirement. Bob continued in his profession as an active member of the National Classification Management Society.

His main lifelong passion was being an amateur radio operator. He’s been known in the ham radio community by his callsigns over the years: WB2OTV, WB5OTV, and W5OTV.
