Walter Nowik

1947 - 2016

Walter Nowik JONESVILLE - Walter Nowik, 69, of Main Street, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday August 31, 2016, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 1,1947 in Delmenhorst, West Germany the son of the late Grigorie (Harry) and Katarina Nowik. Walter was a graduate of Troy High School and the State University @ Albany. He was the owner of CTG Technology Group Inc. in Jonesville. Walter was a member of the Town of Clifton Park Historic Preservation Committee. He was an avid golfer who loved teaching golf. He also loved kayaking in the Adirondacks. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife; Susan D. Carey, whom he married on November 30, 1968; one sister Lydia Nowik, nephew Col. Todd P. (Erika) Simmons; brother-in-law Peter (Wendy) Carey, sister-in-law Diane (Patrick) Simmons, great niece Caroline Simmons and great nephew Patrick J. Simmons. Susan and Wally send their heartfelt thanks to their extraordinary family, friends and all the caregivers, who gave and continue to give them strength, love and courage. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Walter’s name may be made to the charity of ones choice.
