Piccirllo, John A. TROY John A. Piccirillo, 65, of 25th Street, died Friday November 16, 2012 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Carmine and Monica Zoppo Piccirillo and brother of the late Joseph Piccirillo. John was a graduate of Troy High School and Hudson Valley Comm-unity College. A carpenter by trade, John was employed by the Zandri Construction and retired as superintendent in 2005. Prior to that he was employed by Corina Construction in Troy and Troy News. He was a member of the Troy Carpenters Union Local 291. John was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Troy. John was a quiet man with a generous heart.He was always there to lend a helping hand.He loved children and was proud to be an uncle and godfather. He is survived by his sister, Mary Anne Lynick (Walter) of Troy and his devoted companion, Shirley Dieckmann of Mechanicville. He is the nephew of Felicia Piccirillo, Rose Ebenhoch, Barbara and Frank Piccirillo and John DiDio, all of Troy. Also surviving are his nephews, Michael Lynick (Sally) and Matthew Lynick; as well as a grandniece, Juliana Carmen, and several cousins. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 8:45 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Route 32), Waterford and at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Those who wish may make contributions to Our Lady of Victory Parish in care of the funeral home office or to Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144.
