TROY - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul "Phil" White, age 76, of Troy, N.Y., who passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Phil was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, cherished by those who knew him. Phil's family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley; his sons, Phillip and Brian; granddaughters, Kayleen and Kylie; grandsons, Nicholas and James; and daughters-in-law, April and Katey. Their love and support were the pillars of his life, and he cherished every moment with them. Phil's life was a testament to his dedication and hard work. He was an accomplished individual and a true leader in his field. For nearly 30 years, he owned and steered Crowley Supply Co. He then dedicated 27 years to Hudson Valley Community College, where he left an indelible mark. Phil's career culminated in his retirement in 2019 as the Dean of the School of Business, School of Engineering, and Industrial Technologies at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, N.Y.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 3rd Street, Troy, N.Y. Interment will follow at Oakwood Bible Church Cemetery, 260 Oakwood Ave., Troy, N.Y.
Phil's memory is not just a fleeting thought but a beacon of love, kindness, and generosity that will forever illuminate the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy, far from being forgotten, will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Paul Phillip White to the Advent Health Foundation, 800 North Magnolia Ave., Suite 600, Orlando, Fla. 32803.

We were good friends in high school. Shared many classes together, and I often visited him at this home, along with otherrs from his neighborhood. So happy to see that he had a varied and successful career, so sad to hear of his passing.
