Comments:

After graduation, I attended Arizona State in Tempe and graduated from there in 1984 with a BS degree in Business Administration. I have remained in the Phoenix-area ever since. I married in 1989 and had my two sons but subsequently divorced in 2003. I married again in 2007, this time to a Tucson girl, the former Debbie Moon (Palo Verde HS '79) and welcomed her and her three kids into my life. I have been working in the residential mortgage biz for 20 years, through the good times and (now) the bad times. Does anyone see it getting better soon? LOL!

I've had some great thrills over the years: I've met President Reagan, I've played golf at Pebble Beach and skiied in Austria and most of the top resorts in the western US. I've been to the 1997 Rose Bowl game, and games 6 & 7 of the 2001 World Series, won by the Diamondbacks. I've been very fortunate to have led the life I have.......but the most important thing I've done is be a good Dad.

I'm proud to be a graduate of CDO. I have stayed in touch with most of my basketball and baseball teamates and remember those days fondly. Great times then led to great memories forever. I like to think the beginning of the CDO baseball dynasty started with us, in '79 and '80.

The death of Dale Heintz saddened me like never before. To lose a great guy like him, and the way we lost him, was very difficult. I miss him very much and think of him often. Our 30 year reunion will miss him as well.

School Story:

Third period Chemistry class our junior year with Ms. Armstrong. Her hatred of us was only matched by our hatred of her. That class was pure hell but was worth it for the way we tormented her. Me, Dave Buehler and Bobby Retz spent a week in Mr. Hough's office after being tossed from her class. What a wretched woman she was.

Baseball and basketball road trips to Safford, Nogales, and Douglas. Sitting on a bus for 4 hours playing "Slug Bug" with Mike Gould. I still have bruises!

The 1979 State Baseball Championship game vs. Douglas. With Dale Heintz pitching, Tom Murphy throws a perfect strike from left field to catcher Mike Gould who perfectly blocks the plate for the final out preventing the tying run from scoring and earning CDO it's first state baseball title.
