Sadly Kirsten left us August 16, 2004. She was married to Charles (Bud) Rahn, and living in Prescott. Although we had not been in touch, I am heart broken by her loss.
I remember her walking into freshman choir her first day at CDO, she sat by me and we were instantly best friends. Her beautiful blonde hair and amazing smile caught the eyes of everyone who passed by. She was not only gorgeous, but also kind. Her family was my family. I remember all the great times we had like they were yesterday. We had great parties at her house and how we never got busted for that, I will never know. Having learned of her death just recently, I am in shock. I look forward to those of us who knew her sharing memories of her this weekend at the reunion. You can also post memories here on her page.

I too have such great memories of my high school years with Kirsten. I met Kirsten in freshman english with Amy Martinez. Here was this brand new girl with gorgeous blue eyes, blonde hair, a great smile, and she was even nice enough to talk to me. We had a guy named Ted in our class and he would constantly pick on Kirten because he had a huge crush on her. Amy, Kirsten and I would laugh so hard throughout the entire class period.

I will also never forget Katy Swinney picking me up in her guacamole green VW Rabbit (with a keg in the back seat- hidden by a blanket) and off we would go to to Kirsten's house for the infamous parties.

My favorite times though were lunch. I will never forget the frst time Katy invited me to lunch with her, Kirsten and Amy. It was sophomore year and I'm sure I had no other lunch plans. The remaining two and a half years we spent stuffing our faces at Mama's Pizza and New Peking or chasing down Greg and Kirsten at various locations around Magee and Oracle.

The fun and memorable times in life are usually so simple. Kirsten, I'm sorry that after our high school years these joyous times were not always within your grasp. I hope you now know, like we always knew, how beautiful you were inside and out. Rest with a sense of peace, happiness and love in your soul. Our times together will never be forgotten.
