Hanging out at "the wall" in school, I have good memories of James. He always came with a genuine smile and laughter to share. James takes a good heart and a true love of life to heaven, may our Lord keep him close.
I regret some friendships I couldn't keep from childhood, but I mostly wish I kept in touch with good people like James, to have learned how to better serve those who can't help themselves. I'll always remember James; rest in peace my friend. -C.Martinez

James was a nice guy! I liked his goofy ways! I remember in 10th grade in English class we had folders. He'd always write "Hi Tracey" on my folder. He had the same class but a different time of day. I didn't even know who he was. We'd carry on conversations on my folder. I finally met him and got to know him. He'd always tell me how one of his teachers "wanted him" and I'd tell him he was so full of crap. We'll all miss you, James! I guess Jesus wanted his own personal "goofball"!

James was a genuinely great friend. I met him my freshman year. Our little group was me, James, James Vozza, Letty Lem, and Adriel Fasci. How I miss those freshman days goofing off. We stayed bf's all 4 years, through the good and bad, Even after high school, James was always there for me to talk to. I last talked to James in May 2008, and we caught up on so much. He is still the same goofball that I met back in 1985... You are dearly missed James. Luv you buddy.

James had the greatest sense of humor, always had a smile on his face, and was also a good friend. At our 10 year High School reunion, he made us all laugh with tears in our eyes. I took pictures of all of us at our table at our reunion, and when I see James in the pictures, I can't help but laugh at how much James made us crack up that night. I still remember after we all joked with him that night of how much he resembled Ricky Martin, he started singing Ricky Martin's songs and dancing like him. I'll never forget that. I still can't believe he has passed away. Even though I hadn't seen James in a long time, he will always be remembered, and will be terribly missed. Thanks for being a great friend James. I will miss you.
