Sorry to hear the news. He was a friend.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Craig's death. I knew Craig since kindergarten I think. He was always a foot taller than the rest of us with his red hair flying every which way. He was always one step away from a disaster as I recall. As a child he was trampled by his family's horse I think and on another occasion the front wheel of his bike flew off causing a tumble that caused the sides of his lips to rip open. (Nice how I remember all these pleasant things). If there was a pothole, Craig was walking into it and twisting his ankle.

When we were young he always had something mischevious up his sleeve. But when our parents came around, he was the first to say "yes sir," or "no, ma'am." I was terribly impressed and jealous at his display of manners around adults -- until my mom advised "I don't trust a kid who calls me ma'am." Funny how adults pegged us.

He was a character and I'm sorry we don't have him around any longer.
