Rene` a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, aunt, and sincere friend was suddenly taken from us in a tragic acident. Rene` owned and opperated a successful business. She had such a special beauty, and warm smile that she would light up a room. Her gentle nature and sincere loving ways will be irreplaceable in this world. Each and everyone of us that loved her will forever have a huge void in our life.

I will never forget the first day I met Rene`. We where in 8th grade Social Studies class. She put her hand over her month,(so the teacher could not see her talking in class). And whispered to me "Would you like to be my friend". At first I was not sure what to say. But I went ahead and said "yes". We were Best friends for 30 years. Friendship like that comes around once in a lifetime.I will miss my bestest friend for as long as I live. Her memory will live in my heart forever.

Rene was my first friend at Flowing Wells. I was on crutches when I started 7th grade so the school set me up with Rene. I was so grateful for her friendship. I was new to the school, on crutches, couln't wear pants (and remember we could'nt wear shorts.) That meant I had to wear skirts. No self-respecting 7th grader would willing wear a skirt in those days. I felt like a total fish out of water but Rene made me feel like I belonged as well as helping with the practical aspects of opening doors and carrying my books. She really did light up a room with her smile. Even 30 years later she still had that beautiful smile. I am so gratefull to have known her. The world suffered a great loss when Rene left us. I'll always remember her.Tammie Davis Branning

I hung out with Rene in High School. She was so pretty and I always wanted to look like her. The last time I saw her was at our 10th class reunion. I am shocked to hear that she passed away. She will live in my heart forever.
