Mike was my best friend and lived with my family during his junior and senior years at Palo Verde.  After graduating from the University of Arizona he returned to PaloVerde and taught English and coached the gymnastics team to a high national ranking and state championships.  We maintained our close friendship over the years until his death.  I attended his funeral and was happy to see the hundreds of people who came to show their respect.  He is missed.
