Michael L. Gunning 60, formally of Tucson lost his courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma on July 14, 2011 in St. Louis, Mo. Mike a graduate of the University of Arizona was very active in Boy Scouts when he lived in Tucson. He leaves behind his loving children, Jeff (Heidi Beers), Daniel (Erin), Lisa and their mother Elizabeth Carrillo. He also leaves his mother, Nellie Seeds of OK; his father, Ken (Norma) Gunning of CO, and his brothers, John W. Seeds and Steven (Gail) Seeds.

Mike was my high school sweetheart... I have not seen him in 30 years but have thought about him often. (You never forget your first love) I was very saddened to know that he had multilple myeloma. He had a stem cell transplant and that gave him 3 more years. He was a great guy. I send sympathy to his children (Jeff, Daniel and Lisa). I am so very sorry they had to lose their dad at such a young age. Mike was with me when I lost my mother at age 17. One month before graduation. He was such a support to me! That is part of the reason I have held him near and dear to my heart. I hope he had a happy life...Rest in Peace Mike.
