Cory here.

Scott has put in considerable effort for this event, and right now, if you are residing in AZ, I encourage you to support attending the event.

As I scribe this, 11 people have stated their intentions to go.

I can't due to work and family committments. Lord knows, I enjoy the filtered reunion of Facebook, whereby we don't need to experience a potentially awkward situation.

As for those who have not yet done this, I highly encourage you to. Frankly, you may not live to see the next one. Biological fact. We're a very presumptuous generation. just had a pneumonia-related brush with mortality myself...yes, I lived.

In the meantime, I hope everyone continues to be blessed in their lives, where ever and however that may unfold.

I have touched base with some, and a few remain in touch with me daily.

My take is this: we were the result of demographics and bussing, not choice. To travel back in time, I would have encouraged my parents to look into Rincon/University High. I got along with just about everyone I met at different high schools and loved AIPA (journalism camp).

...found out I was considered kinda cute by the ladies...I praise God He saved me for my wife. What I would have missed...

Anyway, if you can attend, I highly encourage you to do so.

The 10-yr was an attendance disappointment. I was unable to attend, knee deep in projects at Universal, (mostly uncredited - I wasn't a Union worker).

Scott and I never really clicked, but, his committment has spanned 20 years and deserves respect for that.

Have a great time if you choose to go and know the city has changed a lot. Upon a recent visit in Jan 2011, I brought my 5 year old son and I barely recognized many streets.

But Speedway was still under construction. Ha!
