JoAnn Yeazell (Thomas)
Stan & Jo Ann Yeazell was married on March 20, 1959 & had a beautiful wedding at Trinity Pres. Church in Tucson, AZ. Stan had been going to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA & was to gradulate in three months so we drove immediately to CA & set up in a apt.. Stan received a degree in Printing & after graduating got a job at a small print shop & I got a job at Bank of America.
Had some fun months enjoying eating places & touring the sights! Then Stan received a notice from Uncle Sam!! Stan was with the Army Reserve & was called to serve 6 months Active Duty.. So we both went back to Tucson & Stan left me to stay with my Mom & Dad & sister. During the time he was away I was pregrant but lost the baby in my 6th month. Stan wasn't able to come home during this time.
When Stan did come home after serviing his 6 months we found a apt. to live in until we bought a house & Stan went to work for Commercial Printers where he had worked during the summer months when he was home from high school & college.
And then we had a baby girl Lee Ann on 08/17/61 & didn't wait long to have our baby boy Steve on 08/16/62! I truly think this was meant to be for not too long after Steve was born we learned that Stan had Hogskins Disease & he lived for two more years. He passed away at 28 years young. A wonderful husband & what time he had with the children he loved them & played with them as much as he could for he was in & out of the hospital.
I never knew Stan when we were at THS & didn't meet him until a few years after graduating. Met him at a party during the summer when he was home from college & spent the rest of the summer going on picnics, bowling, movies & just having fun & later in the year he asked me to marry him & of course I said yes!
After Stan passed away I kept on working at Ronstadt Hardware & Mom & Dad watched the children . I don't know what I would have done without my parents for all the support they gave me plus Stan's parents also, Marion & Ray Goff.
About a year & a half later Bob Thomas came to visit the children & myself at our house & then asked me to go to a party. Bob was with the Army National Guard & they were always having gatherings! After that we were together almost every Saturday going out to eat, dancing, etc. or doing things with his two boys & my children. Soon after he asked me to marry me & we were married on Sept. 1, 1966. He was awarded custody of his two boys & I had always wanted 4 children so got them real fast! After a year of waiting Bob adopted Lee Ann & Steve.
So to make a story long but short at this point my marriage to Bob was another wonderful one being a caring husband in every way & a father to our children! At the age of 87 on Oct. 3, 2017 Bob passed away having dementia & other problems. I miss him every day! Bob also graduated from THS in the Class of 1948 & we went to two of his reunions. So I had TWO wonderful husbands coming out of THS!
