Richard Romero

April 3, 1948 ~ July 16, 2025

Richard C. Romero, 77, passed away on July 16, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona.  He was born on April 3rd, 1948.  Richard was a student at John Spring Junior High before attending Tucson High.

He believed strongly that “Once a Marine, always a Marine."  He was an educator, and he loved all his students. He was a devoted leader as a principal who took his responsibilities very seriously.

Richard was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather.  His family was very important to him.  He enjoyed playing golf and watching his sons and grandsons play sports.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raul Romero; his mother, Maria Teresa Romero; and brother, Robert Romero.

Richard is survived by his wife, Rebecca, to whom he was married for 53 years; sons, Cliff (Elizabeth) and Christopher; four grandchildren, Christopher, Carlee, Alec, and Cristian; his siblings, Reynaldo, Raul Jr. (Helen), Cecilia, Joe (Lita), Mary Helen, and Estevan; and many nieces and nephews.

Richard will be missed by all those who knew him.

Richard had a strong faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ.  He knew his home was waiting for him in heaven.
