Death Notice: CANDACE KAREN ESPARZA

December 14, 2008

Karen Candace Esparza 55, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, after a long battle with peritoneal cancer.

Celebration of life: Mon., Dec. 15, 7 p.m at Unity Church, 1650 Hughes Rd., Grapevine, Texas817-488-1008, www.unitychurchgrapevine.org.Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Candace to the PMP Pals Network.

 

The PMP Pals goal is to assist families whose loved ones are going through some form of peritoneal cancer and to increase awareness of this terrible cancer.

Candace was born in Beaumont to Charles and the late Wanda Curtis.

She lived in Fort Worth, Tucson, Ariz., Denver, Colo., and Bedford.

Candace had a sweet spirit that touched the lives of many people.

She was passionate about her family and friends as well as her job of over 30 years with AmericanAirlines.

She was a true child of nature as is evident by her continued search for knowledge as an herbalist.

She was a wonderful friend and co-worker to many.

She was the type of person who could lift your spirits when you were down and make you laugh out loud with a good joke.

Her husband, Jesus, will truly miss his best friend for all the comfort, love and peace she brought him.

She will be truly missed.

Survivors: Husband, Jesus C. Esparza; children, Angela C. Schmidt and Paul Jr. and his wife, Angela Schmidt; granddaughter, Paige Julia Schmidt; father, Charles Curtis; sisters, Jeanne and Sherry Curtis; and brothers, Charles and Freddie Curtis.
