James E. "Jim" Power 1947 - 2016 | Obituary James E. Power "Jim" died peacefully, on February 8, 2016 in his Tucson home, with a view he never tired of, after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer; positive and on task until the end, his family by his side. Jim was a successful new car dealer whose goal was to contribute to the enrichment of the lives of his employees and the community. Jim was passionate about reading, sports, especially baseball and travelling the world with "his person," his loving wife, Rita. A small Celebration of Jim's life was held at his Tucson home the way he would have loved; with good friends, family, wine and stories galore. He was a loyal husband, a good friend and a fair man loved by many. Jim is survived by his wife, Rita; stepchildren, Annette, Yurii, Tasha, Michael and grandchildren, Leela, Sean, Laif, Eli, Zak, J.T., Kayla and Michael Jr. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel. So very sad to see this. "Jimbo" was always such fun! Had no idea he was back here in Tucson & had hoped we could find him to come to the reunion. Prayers are with his family & we will always smile when we think of him.Thomas Kelly
I have a great number of fond memories of Jim. Jim was always quick with a joke and laughter. He always pushed the envelope of acceptable (circa 1966) behavior but always with a good heart.
VERY sad to hear he won't be at the Reunion.

I have such fond memories of Jim. He and Shelby Wilson (my first husband) and maybe Tim Stork and I spent many hot summer nights the summer after graduation doing word play (beer was involved) for hours. I believe he came up with a nickname for me (GodCilla) that I had to endure for several years.
Allan "Chip" Harrington
Jim was one of the good guys. Always fun and you never knew what to expect. We ran into him a few times in recent years hoped to see him at the reunion. One of our fond memories of Jim was waking up in Mazatlán in 1969 and finding him asleep under our pop up camper ... in a full flight suit?!?! He will be remembered fondly.
