Michael was a great friend to many. Im sorry to say that I dont remember the exact date, but Mikes life ended in the year 2000. He had served 20 years in the USMC as a crew chief in the Air Wing, After retiiring he became part of the Yuma Co. Sheriffs Department.  Mike was on his way home from work. It was a stormy day and knowning a stretch of highway was pron to problems due to weather, he went that way. No one really knows what happend, his police truck was found in a ditch upside down and Mike was gone.

I have never wittnessed  anything like Mikes memorial. The entire town of Yuma shut down, as Mikes funeral prossesion proceeded through the streets of Yuma. Escorted overhead by USMC, BPHS, DPS and YCS helicopters. Almost every resident observing with hats off and heads bowed,

Not a day goes by that I dont miss my brother (USMC) and friend. I was the first to place my black badge ribbon at his memorial, something I will never forget and never want to do again. God Bless You Mike and All Who Loved You.
