Eventhough we didn't hangout or run around together I remember you were always smiling, one that lit up everything around you, and you were always laughing. You were probably lots of fun to be around.
I missed out on the first go round but we will smile and laugh together one day soon.
TULIA - Billy Earl, 56, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddy Helms and the Rev. James Sain officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
Billy was born Eldon William Earl on Jan. 21, 1952, in Garden City, Kan. He was raised in the Methodist Children's Home in Waco and moved to Tulia his senior year, where he attended and graduated from Tulia High School.
He married Debbie Boyett on Aug. 22, 1981, in Tulia. After working for Barbour Bros. one year and then two years with the city of Tulia, he started working in the Tulia ISD maintenance department and had worked there for the past 24 years. He was the maintenance supervisor. He was also a member of the Tulia Volunteer Fire Department, retiring in 2002 after 20 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Ethel May Earl; and a daughter, Aleesha Earl.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Earl; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Steve Geries of Yukon, Okla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Kendra Earl of Tulia; a brother, Bobby Bradley of Ada, Okla.; a sister, Elaine Milam of Lubbock; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Boyett of Tulia; and four grandchildren, Brittany Earl and Cameron Earl, both of Tulia, and Lindi Geries and Bailee Geries, both of Yukon.
The family suggests memorials be to Tulia Volunteer Fire Department, 201 N. Maxwell, Tulia, TX 79088.
