In Memory

Whitney Tuck

Whitney Tuck of Tullahoma lost her long nineteen-month battle with acute myelogenous leukemia on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at Vanderbilt Medical Center Children's Hospital in Nashville.  A native of Kerrville, Texas, she was the daughter of Joel Tuck of Franklin and Betsy and Wayne Patton of Tullahoma.  Whitney had undergone several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation and two chord blood transplants and had been released to live at home just prior to the onset of the final lung infection.  A  Celebration of Whitney's Life and memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 8, 2005, at the First Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma where she was a member.  The Rev. Patterson Lyles, pastor, will lead the service.

Besides her parents, Whitney is survived by her sister, Addison, and grandmother, Frances Chew, both of Tullahoma, and stepsiblings Zach and Cassidy Patton.  In addition, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides will miss her:  Lucia Flowers, Atlanta; Mike, Lindsay, Bailey, Michael and Hannah Murphy, and Bill Flowers, all of Birmingham, AL; Richmond Flowers, III, N.Y.; Jennifer Petr, Tullahoma; Lauren Petr and Franklin Petr, Nashville; Steve, Carolyn, David and Neal McFall and Jim Sheffield of Knoxville; Delilah Tuck and Debbie Sykes, both of Nashville; Carolyn Bain and Chris Bain, Tullahoma; John, Angela and Dillon Smith, Lynchburg; Gary Sherry and Garrett Hazelwood, and Tim, Susan, Hillary, Trevor and Ben Tuck, all of Tullahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be directed to the WGT Scholarship Fund at Traders National Bank or the Multi-County Cancer Support Network (110 E. Lauderdale, Tullahoma).
