Jo Denese Miles, 54, of Norman died Thursday, May 10, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service is scheduled 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 3 in the amphitheater at Andrews Park. Dogs are welcome to attend with their people.
Ms. Miles was born Dec. 1, 1952, in Princeton, Ind., to Lewis Miles and Virginia Booth Miles. She was raised in Tulsa and graduated from East Central High School there. She held a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Oklahoma and worked as a classroom technology coordinator at OU for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband Mark Shaleen of the home; mother Virginia Bishop of Tulsa; brother Stephen Miles of Tulsa; and many friends.
