Jay Paul Pancoast, 55, passed from this life on December 17, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jay was born in Perry, Oklahoma on June 14, 1957 to Curtis and Danna (Clark) Pancoast. Jay graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and was a Chief Systems Engineer for Hewlett-Packard Computer Systems. Jay met and married Sherri Edmondson on May 19, 1979 in Amarillo, Texas and they shared 33 memorable years together. He was an avid OSU fan, loved music, playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. Jay is survived by his loving wife, Sherri Pancoast; son, Chad Pancoast and his wife, Tausha; daughter, Sara Pancoast; grandchildren, Randal and Ryan King; parents, Curtis and Danna Pancoast; siblings, Kirby and Page Pancoast; and numerous nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Melva Pancoast and Homer J. and Lucille Clark..

I was very sorry to see this sad news. Jay and I were on the JV Baseball team in the Spring of '74; he played 1st and I played 2nd. I remember that during practice, while 'turning two" from short or third, I would throw a knuckle ball to Jay at first. The ones that "knuckled" well were hard to catch and he would drop one now and then which would quickly incur the wrath of Coach Smittle. Jay never once ratted me out. Jay didn't go out for ball our senior year and I saw little of him that year and none at all since graduating. Anyway, I thought of Jay as a good friend an I’m deeply saddened of his passing
