Obituary for Stanley C. Hampton
Stanley C. Hampton, 54, passed away on April 14, 2015 at the Kansas City Hospice House after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
Stan was born on March 1, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State in 1984 and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He worked for Farmer’s Insurance for 29 years.
Stan was a bass player in many bands; his most recent was The Radio Flyers.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, Velda. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kim, his father Jim (Marge), his sister Kelly (Mike) Root, and his children Blake and Meredith.
His celebration of life will be held on Saturday April 18, 2015, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel at 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. Visitation will begin at 1 PM, with the celebration of life to begin at 1:30 PM.

Stan Woodward
It was sad hearing about Stan passing on. He was always in a great mood from what I remember and had a smile on his face always. He had a great golf game ( I think he beat Brockwell pretty regularly ) and my fondest memories were of he, Matt Arbuckle and Hayden Burlingame playing classic rock at the keg parties - nobody played more Neil Young and Stones tunes than those guys. I think the name of their band was something fairly offensive - which was required back then - and Stan and I got to play a little in College together in a few bands; he was a great bass player. Always thought he got the better end of the deal marrying Kim and I am sure they had a wonderful marriage and great kids.

It is just so hard to believe. Stan was a good man of character that everyone who knew him, loved him.Never heard anyone speak ill of Stan He was such a strong life force. Really juat can't fully accept. Too raw and upsetting.
