Douglas Lee Maxey

Doug died March 31, 2005.  Born in Tulsa January 18, 1961.  A wonderful, caring and compassionate man who, as an organ donor, has given life to others today. Survived by his wife, Tina; daughter, Candace and fiance, Derek Overturf; grandson Wyatt; mother, Sue; brothers Brad of Celina, TX, Greg of Stevensville, MD and Lance of Tulsa.

A 1979 graduate of Edison High School, he attended NEO, where he polished his stagecraft skills.

Doug was the third generation at Dun-Well Cleaners.  He loved his work with IATSE Local #354 and volunteered this talent with several organizations. Service 3 p.m. Saturday, Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 622-1155. Online tributes at www.moorefuneral.com.

 It was great growing up a few houses down and playing football in your front yard.  Xanthus street was one for the memories and good friends.   Thanks for always having a smile and talking to me.

My very late condolences.  I remember when your father drove us around all the time, especially one Halloween with Cindy Lou Armstrong...Scream in the Dark haunted mansion.  What a hoot! You did have a heart of behold, very sweet and gentle personality that left this Earth too soon. My warmest regards to your family.
