Jay, although we are sad at your tragic passing, we are deeply honored that our classmate was one of the heroes of 9/11. You are forever a Charger, and forever in our hearts.
Jayesh Shah Killed at World Trade Center NYC 9/11/2001
I had no idea Jayesh had been killed in 9/11. He was a really good guy, and he - along with Nancy Brown - made Physics class tolerable. I wish his family well.
I am sitting here absolutely stunned to find out my friend, Jayesh, was lost in the 9/11 attacks. I am deeply saddened as he was a wonderful friend of mine at Memorial. We agreed that he made chemistry tolerable for me and I did the same for him in english class. Jayesh was the one person I was hoping to see at our 20th reunion and was disappointed that he was not there.
I remember him telling me that when he turned 21 his parents wanted to take him back to India for an arranged marriage. I was shocked and just couldn't wrap my head around that concept. I used to tease him about that alot. I always wondered what happened to him. Did he marry, did he go to India? Was he happy? I see by the article that he did marry and had 3 wonderful children who must miss him terribly. I miss you too my friend and will keep you in my heart!
