David Cagle

David Cagle of Tulsa, OK passed away on December 13th, 2001 at the age of 31. Cause of Death: unknown

I remember David as nothing less than a dear friend from Owen elementary. Always a happy dude. Reminded me of Alfalfa with those freckles of his.

I went to Jr. High with David and he was always a "hoot and a hollar!" He could always make you smile even when you were in the worst of moods.

I remember the days at Owen. David Cagle and I were really good friends. I remember the days at the creek by his house. We had several good years as friends and then people went their seperate ways. I remember his laugh! I can hear it now. You are missed my friend.

David and I began our friendship walking to Kindergarten at Owen together. We all hung out at Maxwell almost every day. David and I would sit up in the trees for hours and we had thick callouses on our hands from climbing. Cheryl and I gave him so much grief, too :) But he was such a good sport and had a genuine heart and a contagious laugh. He shaped the tomboy part of my psyche teaching me how to make mud pies, exprerimenting on tadpoles in my pond, etc. I cried and cried when I heard he had passed away. I just felt so bad that I hadn't been there for him. We get so wrapped up in our own lives sometimes we don't even notice we could be making a difference to someone. I think his death changed a lot about how I see friendships. I miss you David, I hope you found some trees in heaven!

Sorry for the duplicate posts, but I posted #1 and #4 and when my account was deleted, they stayed but didn't show my name. :)

Wow, where do I start? David and I go all the way back to elementary school. David was very outgoing and he made me laugh all the time. I remember his freckled cheeks and his huge smile. I will also say that David would be the first to let you know if he was angry about something! He told stories with such enthusiasm you almost felt like you were there. In the sixth grade, I had a ferret named Fredericka. Fredericka hated me and I couldn't get her to do anything but bite me. I gave my ferret to David. Two weeks later, here comes David walking up the street with Fredericka on a leash beside him. He taught that mean old ferret how to swim, use a cat box, walk on a leash...etc! I'll never forget David. He was a very huge part of my childhood, just like Stacie Phillips was.
