I remember walking into Spanish class and Lisa McCoy look at me with tears in her eye and told me that Stacie had died. It was very hard to take in. Some of us never really thought of her illness, we just thought of her smile and great out look on life. She was a great person and friend.
Like Scott, I remember walking into Coach Camps homeroom class the morning after she passed. It was quiet (very unusual for that class). I didn't believe it when they told me what happened. I worried about those who knew her better than me. And her desk was empty at the front of the class, for the rest of the year.
Stacy and I were the best of friends. I never forget her birthday, I always thiink about her on that day...We did everything together. I don't think I will ever have a friend like I did with Stacy, she was the best....
I was new to Rogers High School and quite angry at the time. I'd been forced to finish high school in a new state and new school. But there was Stacie sitting next to me in typing. A quiet yet friendly smile... I didn't know her well, but I wished I had.
Stacie and I lived two blocks apart. I remember a sweet girl that always had a smile on her face. Always knew how to make someone laugh! I just remember her from Owen and some in High School. Great person and always remember her dogs. LOL would eat you up alive we thought. Good memories of a good friend, You are missed my friend.
I remember Stacie from Owen thru Rogers. She was a great friend. When I first moved to Ok her and Gayle and Chris were my first true friends. I still miss her too.
Sorry for the duplicate post but I posted #9 and when my account was deleted, it didn't show my name. :) FYI: Just visited Stacie's grave 02/28/10. I can't believe how long she's been gone...I remember her like it was yesterday.
Stacie and I grew up together in the same neighborhood. She was always such a sweet girl and I remember clearly when she got sick. I used to spend the night with Stacie all the time in grade school and I still visit her from time to time where she rests in peace.
I had only known Stacie through Gayle, but for the two years that I had known her, she was always so very nice. I remember how important she was to Gayle and then when we went to the services how important she was to so many of us. I know that she is missed but because of who she was to everyone lives even now shows what an important spirit she was/is. She was taken before her time but she must have completed her mission here. She is surely missed by all.
