I remember one Christmas that Linda and I ended up staying with the same family in Illinois. I believe Wilma was also there. The man let Linda and I trudge through the snow to check his rabbit traps every day. One day we were playing hide and seek in the house because it was too cold to go outside. I looked everywhere for Linda and could not find her. I finally looked in the bathroom and she was in there using the facilities. I was so embarrassed that I hid behind the washer in the laundry room for the rest of the day and would not come out. Linda, Johnny Jennings and I were in the same classes together up through fifth grade where we had Ms. Grimes. Her claim to fame was that she had taught Elvis Presley. She was also very big on memorization. Besides the usual litany, such as the Declaration of Independence, the Gettysburg Address, etc., we also had to memorize "Hiawatha's Childhood" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. I still remember quite a bit of it to this day. With fond memories, Paul (Junior) Coleman.

Thanks, Junior, for your comments. It's so hard for a family member to think someone they so loved has gone and is forgotten. I'm sure Butch will appreciate your story.
