Tom was a great friend and died in a tragic accident while training firefighters. On graduation night, after our ceremony, we went to Divine Gardens for awhile, stayed up all night and then went in Tom's pickup, towing a boat to Don Pedro Reservoir for water skiing. Went with Ron Stice, Richard Spratling and a couple of girls and Spratling was water skiing in his graduation gown! RIP Tom.
I was so sad to hear about Tom's passing. I always remember him as being a really friendly, down to earth kind of guy. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family...
Tom was a wonderful friend to me in High School. When I heard about his accident on the news I cried. Me, Tom and Bobby miller would hang out together at school. To the family he will always be in my heart. I wish his family well.
It was ten years in June that Tom died. I still miss him, and so does his family. He left such a huge hole in our lives. His children are doing really well.... His oldest daughter is a senior this year at Stanislaus State and is just about ready to graduate from the nursing program there. His son is now 16 and lives in Missouri. He is doing really great in school and he looks just like Tom, no kidding, except that he is fair like Robin. He also talks like him. If you called him on the phone, you might think it was Tom. He should graduate next year from high school and at this point is planning on attending Ozark Christian College, unless he changes his mind. Robin is also doing really well. She married a friend of Tom's from the fire department three years ago. They live in Missouri on a large ranch. Robin homeschools her son, and keeps busy with community and church activities, and traveling out here to see her family, and sometimes me!!
