“The Man the Myth the Legend”

Barton Keith Coley age 72 passed away Saturday November 4, 2023 at home in Northport AL. Bart was born in Tuscaloosa AL on January 22, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Marilyn Bennett Coley, brother-in-laws, Mark Patton and Rayburn Gray, and sister-in-law Dina Beard.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 51 years, Ann Locke Coley, son, Bobby Coley (Marcy), daughters, Beverly Coley Cox (BJ) and Nancy Coley Townsend (Trent). Five beautiful adored granddaughters, Calie Cox Wilson (Drew), Lindsey Cox, Sophie Townsend, and twins Charlie and Blair Coley. His Sisters, Charlotte Coley Carver (Bennett), Jenny Coley Guy (Mark), Annette Coley Patton, brother-in-law, Donald Locke (JoAnn), and sister-in-law, Doris Gray, special cousins/hunting buddies, Dennis & Eddie Hoggle and Gary Junkin. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and other family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Bart loved nothing better than spending time with his wife, Ann, cooking, gardening, working around their property, and having family gatherings. Bart was an avid Alabama Football fan and outdoorsman. He loved hunting and especially fishing on his and Ann’s annual October trip to Gulf Shores AL.

At Bart’s request, the family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
