Dennis Michael Cummings

HUNTSVILLE Dennis Michael Cummings, age 56, of Huntsville, formerly of Tuscaloosa, departed this life on Dec. 25, 2006.  Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Pauline Cummings, brother, Ricky Cummings, and nephew, Richard Cummings. Survivors are his wife, Linda Bailey Cummings of Huntsville, formerly of Tuscaloosa; sister, Joanne Kizziah (Nick) of Brookwood; nephews, Joel Kizziah (Sheree) of Leeds, Ala., David Kizziah (Katie) of Mooresville, Ky.; niece, Kerri Bosch (Tommy) of Tuscaloosa; great nephews and nieces, cousins as well as other family and friends. Dennis was born in Tuscaloosa on October 3, 1950 and grew up to be a kind, faithful and loving person. He was a loyal employee of Goodman and Amana in Fayetteville, Tenn. for the past 20 years. If you knew Dennis at all, you knew he loved the Lord, his family, music and Alabama football. He was a great admirer of Coach Bryant and had been heard to say, "Yes, I have drunk the Bear Bryant kool-aid." We are grateful to the Lord for the gift of Dennis in our lives and grateful to our Saviour for His grace that Dennis accepted at an early age. Dennis, an accomplished guitarist and beginning fiddler, once wrote a song about going home for Christmas. How appropriate that the Lord should call him on the day we celebrate His birth. We will miss him greatly and look forward to the day when we will all be reunited. The family is grateful for all your loving prayers and kind expressions of sympathy.
