TUSCALOOSA-Susan McCracken Richardson, age 71, died April 21, 2024 at DCH Regional Medical Center. A private family service will be held.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Richardson; daughter, Kristin Martin (Joseph); stepdaughter, Robin Jenkins (Jeff); stepson, Jeff Richardson; grandchildren, Harper and Wyatt Martin, Maggie Richardson, and Luca and Jesse Jenkins; niece, Lane Reece; and nephew, Todd Reece (Kellie).

She was preceded in death by her father, Hildreth E. McCracken; mother, Eloyce Lancaster McCracken; and sister, Joy McCracken Reece.

Susan was a life-long resident of Tuscaloosa and a member of First Baptist Church. She graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1970 and worked as an insurance professional for 41 years retiring in 2018. She was married to Steve for 45 wonderful years and especially enjoyed her grandchildren, family beach trips, cooking, and playing cards. She was dearly loved by her family and friends. She was a woman of faith and is now with her Lord and Savior.
